What happens if I take Glutathione Pills expired-L? It expired on September 2007.?
And what exactly is a term "pill"? I mean, what about the pill? Does it change something in their chemical structure? Thanks
Apart from the fact that supplementing your diet with glutathione is of questionable value (actually produced in the body of a number of amino acid precursors), taking expired pharmaceuticals is desirable. Although in most cases, it is really a question of a reduction in power and effectiveness of the product (due to degradation due to moisture changes in temperature, chemical reactions with other components of the tablets or the packaging, etc), some products may actually be dangerous if taken beyond its expiry date (the antibiotic minocycline, for example, can cause severe kidney damage if taken beyond its expiration date). Expiration dates are usually established as a result of the pre-market testing by the manufacturer (some places have different power patterns at maturity required to maintain a simple Tylenol .. may have only a fraction of its original strength if held beyond the expiry date). I recommend you not to take these pills and bring maturity and any other medications you may have to a local pharmacy for proper disposal. I hope that answers your questions.
